On Xmas morning I rise early to make the house ready for the young ones making cinnamon rolls. I start the fire inside the wood burning stove first, for if we want any sort of heat in the middle of our cold winter mornings, it has to be the first thing one does. I had been begging my husband for any kind of central heating and cooling system for a long time, but he kept saying that going that route wasn’t affordable. So, I would do all the research of the new and modern HVAC unit’s and also the new products they have today to keep costs low with better warming and cooling solutions and I showed him oftentimes more cost and energy efficient unit’s. He would not budge and was totally unrelenting. He said how it would cost more to arrange the ductwork, refurbish and clean out the many old vents and put brand new air filters in the home. But, I would tell him back that the HVAC technician may come out to the house and assess our specific needs offering the very best and most efficient HVAC system for our house. He just wouldn’t tune in to reason so I gave up looking for long while. This particular Christmas morning I walked into the family room to start the fire while it was oddly already warm. I didn’t understand it, did he already start the fire to be nice and help me out? Then he and all the youngsters jumped out from behind the couch yelling surprise! Apparently he’d secretly called out the HVAC technician and had the system installed without my knowledge. This was the absolute best present I have ever been given!
