I woke up this morning, and I had eight inches of snow on the ground. How cruel nature was being, that just twelve hours earlier, it had been sixty-two degrees and sunshine. I tried to laugh, but it really wasn’t funny. The temperature was now reading twenty-six degrees, and I could hear the furnace happily humming in the background. I didn’t want to feel the heat coming from the air vents. I wanted to feel the heat of the sun warming me up. By noon, the snow had finally quit falling, and I could see the hint of sunshine shining through the clouds. The afternoon turned into a lovely day, but the furnace was still running. I went about doing my housework, and my husband was getting ready to go out and plow snow. He came upstairs and he was laughing. While I had been cleaning the attic, the snow had begun to melt. My furnace was still running. I had heat coming from the air vents, but the strength of the sun, had melted almost of the snow, over a matter of two hours. Now that’s what i call an amazing spring day. Only up north, can you have nearly a foot of snow at noon, and by three in the afternoon, it is all melted. I looked at the air conditioner I had brought up from the basic, and I patted it lovingly. Oh yes, by next month at this time, it was going to be in my bedroom window. I’ll be hearing the AC humming instead of the furnace.
