Space heater blew a fuse

Winter has arrived, but where I live, it’s not very cold at all. In fact, it’s hot and humid here most of the year. That’s exactly why I don’t have a full heating system in my house. I have an air conditioner that I have to run non-stop, and I prefer to skip out on the heater so that my utility bill isn’t through the roof all year. The relief that I get on the power bill during the winter months is really nice. The only thing that I need for the few cold nights that we have is a space heater. I can use the space heater to warm my bedroom in the evenings so that I don’t shiver all night. It’s really all that I need to stay warm because I also layer lots of extra blankets on my bed when I know that we are due for a cold one. The only issue I’ve ever had with using the space heater was when it completely gave out on me. It was poor timing because it was late in the evening. All of the local stores were closed, so there was no way for me to get another one. I knew that it was going to be a rough night because the temperatures were supposed to dip down below freezing. I put on some extra layers of clothes, but it was still tough. The next day, I woke up and went straight to the hardware store. I bought two space heaters so that I’d never be in the same mess again. Cold nights aren’t something I have to think about often, but they definitely pose their own set of challenges in a place like this.
