School heating systems won’t work

So far this year the Winter storms in our area have been mild.  The meteorologist was consistently saying that we were in store for numerous feet of snow, but it never happened.  At most the area would get hit with 10 inches or less. Because our storms have been so gentle this season that means that our local schools have not had closings due to weather at all, not even one day.  Well, that changed this week. We finally had some minimal snow accumulation however it was only 4 inches, nothing huge. However, my youngsters school was closed today because the schools HVAC equipment malfunctioned so the elementary school was entirely without heat.  My youngsters are completely hyper today, it’s currently 9 am and I am counting the hours to bedtime! Not only are they hyper and bouncing off the walls they are picking at each other nonstop, and with every battle that I find myself refereeing I find that I hold out hope that the school is able to get a serviceman out there to repair the whole Heating, Ventilation and A/C system.  I am worried that since the school has had so many budget cuts recently, that maybe they won’t be able to afford to hire an Heating, Ventilation and A/C serviceman this week. I mean, seriously, what if the Heating, Ventilation and A/C dealer has no open slots and can only go out to the school if they pay the emergency repair fee? What if the school has to wait a week, or several days for non emergent service?!  If that happens I will volunteer to pay that emergency repair fee just so they can open sooner. If I have to sit here all week waiting for the Heating, Ventilation and A/C equipment to be repaired I will be heading straight to the looney bin!
