heat pump for a heating system

It astonishes me how often people get into situations without doing all of their research beforehand. We have a small 3 man Heating & Air Conditioning business in our tiny town. All of us are in the mountains, which makes some type of heating a necessity. We normally see some drastic cold and snow in the Winter season and the warm season can even surprise you with a heatwave. In my humble opinion, one of the worst types of heating for a property is a heat pump. A heat pump costs you plenty of money every time it clicks on whether it be for the washing machine, the dishwasher, the shower or your oil furnace. I have heard some people talking about turning it off and just using their wood burning stove. That isn’t a viable option with a heat pump. If you turn it off, your pipes will freeze in the Winter months, and you will be in for an even worse expense. If you are trying to have the heat pump not click on as much, then you need to leave your heat on higher than a normal level. The main issue is that all the people see this as costing more cash, since it is too warm! When, actually, it is saving you cash, however personally, I will discourage anyone who asks about the heat pump from getting it installed. The best thing you can do is to install central heating and cooling. It is a lot more balanced and it can be much more cost effective as well as efficient. You are able to use more apps that you can install when you have central heating, that are not available with a heat pump. Those apps will also save you a lot of cash in the long term. There is a lot to consider when thinking about these heating and cooling options.
